Understanding school systems, assessment options, and neurodiversity can be overwhelming.

We are here to help you navigate these challenges so you can support your child effectively.

Parent Consultation

Practical, solution-focused support for families who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unsure about what to do next.

This service provides a space to talk through particular challenges and identify realistic ways forward. This might include difficulties with school attendance, transitions, routines, communication, emotional regulation, homework, family dynamics or putting recommendations from an assessment into practice.

Consultations can help parents develop a better understanding of what may be contributing to a particular difficulty, identify potential barriers and consider practical approaches that are realistic for the child, young person and family.

Where appropriate, this may also include helping parents prepare for conversations with school or other professionals, review existing support and think through what could be changed or approached differently.

Advocacy & Support

Practical support for parents and families who need help navigating the systems and processes surrounding SEND and neurodiversity.

This can include attending meetings with schools, colleges or other professionals on behalf of parents, helping families prepare for meetings, supporting communication with professionals, and helping parents understand and articulate their child’s needs.

Support can also include assistance with applications and paperwork, including DLA, PIP and EHCP applications and processes, helping families understand what information is needed and how to clearly communicate the impact of their child’s needs.

The aim is to help parents feel informed, prepared and confident, while ensuring that the child or young person’s needs remain at the centre of discussions and decision-making.

Neurodiversity Coaching

Coaching provides a supportive space to help neurodivergent children, young people and adults better understand themselves, recognise their strengths and challenges, and develop practical strategies that work for them.

For children and young people under 16, coaching is undertaken alongside and in partnership with their parent or carer. Sessions can help families develop a shared understanding of needs and identify approaches that support the young person both at home and in education.

For young people aged 16+ and adults, coaching can focus more directly on self-understanding, confidence, self-advocacy and developing the skills and strategies needed to navigate education, work and everyday life.

Sessions may explore areas such as communication, organisation, emotional regulation, energy management, sensory needs, confidence, relationships, managing overwhelm and identifying helpful adjustments.

The aim is not to change who someone is, but to help them understand what they need to feel comfortable, confident and able to thrive.

Needs Assessments

A neurodiversity needs assessment provides a clearer understanding of a young person’s individual strengths, needs and how they experience the world.

Alongside discussion and information gathering, I use specific assessments to build a picture of the young person’s cognitive profile. This helps inform practical, individualised recommendations to support learning, wellbeing and everyday life.

The aim is not simply to help a young person learn more effectively, but to help them understand their strengths, feel confident in themselves and have the right support to thrive.
